Fireworks Explode into Galaxies
Like all my Dreams, blooming
bursts of colored light that dance
and fade away into singed ash
rising again like the phoenix
and dying within itself too
like a blooming lily stem
White lilies bursting into ecstatic
bloom and fading away because time
always sees the end of great beauty
even the stars in the night sky
are dying, no matter how infinite
they seem, their light, too, will
some day be put out extinguished
and the corpse of a white dwarf
and remnants of dreams left over
The universe is in its prime
it is in its blooming stage, and in
twenty billion years all of the stars
in all of the galaxies in the universe
will be extinghished and eventually
the universe will be a star cemetery,
with nothing left but bones of stars
flying immeasureably further apart
with every fraction of a second!
How feeble then is our home earth
how even more feeble is mankind
and Satan seems to grimace at us
in the darkness, filling us with fear
but He Shall not win No, Lord
Satan Shall Not Win, however dark
or lonely of frightened or far apart
and distant the world of life becomes
there is yet Hope in God.
